NuQ (Pty) Limited is a software development company that was established in 2000 and specialises in the development of HR and payroll systems. It is a leader in payroll and HR management systems for the 21st Century business environment.

The payroll design team is headed by executive chairman Ron Warren the acknowledged payroll, tax and financial business management expert, whose experience covers a period of 50 years in computerised payrolls. Ron's experience was recognised by the Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA) who awarded him their fellowship award in 2006.

nuQ's technical design team were one of the first to use Microsoft's then brand new .NET development system running on a SQL database while it was still in its beta stage. The soundness of this decision is illustrated by the advanced easy to use program structure under which nuQ runs. This has also made it possible for nuQ to easily incorporate new developments brought out by Microsoft.
